in winter holiday, i had a good time. i didn’t go to school. i read some books at home. sometimes i watched tv. sometimes i helped my mother clean the house and wash the dishes. sometimes i went shopping with my friends, we bought colorful new clothes.at chinese new year, i put on new clothes. i visited my relatives and i got much lucky money. in the evening, i set off fireworks with my cousin. they looked like flowers. they were very beautiful!

爷爷走到我面前，用请求的语气对我说：“孙女，你能不能教教我英语？”看着爷爷那忠诚的眼神，我无可奈何地对爷爷说：“好吧 ！让我先考一考您的基本功吧！”我拿出一张英语四线纸，写出前几个英语字母，后面的请爷爷写。爷爷看了看，胸有成竹的对我说：“孙女，你是不是小看我了？虽然我已经87岁了，但A B C D这些我都记得一清二楚，看我的`吧！”果然，不到一会儿，爷爷就写完了，他把那张纸交给我，我打眼一看，全错！我失落地对爷爷说：“爷爷，看来你必须从基础开始了！”我从仓库里拿出一个白板和一支记号笔。开始从“零”开始。
经过365天的努力，终于学成了。当我问起爷爷为什么要学英语时，爷爷一五一十地告诉了我 。原来，那天爷爷去买中午饭，一位老外问他银行在哪儿，由于听不懂英语，伤害了爷爷的自尊心。

They have different kinds of colors, such as red, yellow, and black. And they have many shapes, too. Some are long, but some are round. Some have gib heads, but some have long tails.
I wish I could be a fish and swim in the sea!

我今年八岁了，是黑芝麻胡同小学一名一年级的小学生，过了暑假就要升入二年级了。刚入学的'时候，妈妈就给我报了英语课程班，开始我不太喜欢学英语，课前不预习，也不按老师要求点读，根本达不到老师的要求，学不好英语，我自己也很着急。
有一天放学回家，妈妈催我赶快点读当天的课程，我没有照做。于是，爸爸让我翻开课本读一读，我根本读不出来，大部分单词都不会，爸爸也着急了。正好要放寒假了，我决心把英语赶上去。每天，我早晨起来后就一遍一遍地点读课文，然后背单词，最后达到熟读课文的水平。经过几天的努力，终于把一个单元的内容学会了，有时候累得真想哭呀！就这样，我坚持每一个上午的英语学习，不到一个月，就把一个学期的内容都学会了。
第二学期开始了，我明显能够跟上老师的进度了，每天坚持点读、背诵课文。一共进行了三次考试，我从第十一名逐渐提升到了第三名，老师还专门让我向全班同学介绍学习经验。
一年级结束后，我被分到了精品班，现在我每次课堂听写、读书、背诵都很熟练，我也真正地喜欢上了英语。俗话说：“世上无难事，只怕有心人”。只要能够坚持，就一定能学好英语。
